NEIGHBOURHOOD GUIDES

LIVING IN MUSWELL HILL

Muswell Hill feels like it belongs in its own bubble, elevated (in every sense), leafy, and quietly grand. There’s no tube station, which helps keep the pace relaxed, and that’s just fine with the locals. The Broadway is the hub: lined with boutiques, cafés, independent food shops, and the occasional piano being wheeled up the hill. It’s family-friendly, design-conscious, and just a little bit posh — but in a way that still welcomes muddy boots after a stomp through nearby Alexandra Palace Park.

“There’s a whiff of nostalgia in the air — children racing up the hills, retirees debating in the art deco café, and just enough hipster coffee and vintage to keep it quietly cool. It’s London with a dash of village dreaming”

Muswell Hill has a village feel with a city backdrop, Edwardian charm, and sweeping views. It’s the kind of place where weekends are made for bookshops, bakeries, and slow walks through the tree-lined streets.

Transport
Links

Muswell Hill has no tube station, but that’s part of its charm. It’s quiet, villagey, a little elevated (literally and figuratively). But don’t let that fool you, fast buses link you to Highgate and East Finchley stations, and from there, it’s an easy ride into central London. Plus, the views from up here? Worth every minute of the journey.
